Ex-minister, Turaki came around 1:00am, raped me and told me not to say anything. I was scared—Baffa



A shocking allegation has surfaced involving a former Nigerian minister, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN). A woman identified as Baffa has accused him of raping her during a late-night visit, sparking outrage and renewed debates about sexual violence and abuse of power.


According to Baffa, the incident happened when the former minister came to her apartment around 1:00 a.m. under the guise of a friendly visit. Things quickly turned ugly as Turaki allegedly forced himself on her despite her pleas for him to stop.



“I was terrified. He raped me and warned me never to tell anyone,” Baffa said emotionally. “I couldn’t scream because I feared for my life. All I could think about was survival.”

She revealed that she remained silent for a long time because of fear and threats. “He told me nobody would believe me because of his power and position,” she claimed.


Her decision to speak out came after years of trauma and reflection. “I want the world to know what happened to me so that no other woman will go through this,” she added.


The case has since gained attention online, with Nigerians demanding accountability under the trending hashtag #JusticeForBaffa. Women’s rights groups and human rights activists have condemned the act, urging law enforcement agencies to investigate thoroughly.

As of this report, the ex-minister has not commented on the allegations, and attempts to reach his representatives for statements have failed.
