“Aki & Pawpaw Were Never Funny, They Just Got Famous Because of Their Height” – GehGeh Sparks Debate



Social media influencer GehGeh has stirred heated reactions online after boldly claiming that Nollywood comedy icons Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki) and Osita Iheme (Pawpaw) owe their fame entirely to their height rather than their talent.


In a viral video, GehGeh argued that the duo, known for their legendary roles in early 2000s Nollywood comedies, were not genuinely funny. According to her, their short stature and childlike looks gave them an edge in the movie industry.

“They were not really funny. Let’s be honest—if Aki and Pawpaw had been average height, would they have been as popular as they are today?” GehGeh asked during a live session.


Her comment immediately triggered a massive online debate. While some agreed that many of their roles were built around their size, others strongly defended their craft, citing their unique delivery, chemistry, and timing as the real reason behind their success.
