Popular Yoruba actress, Bukky Fagbuyi, has opened up about her painful experience with sexual harassment in the Nollywood film industry. In a recent interview on Biola Adebayo’s YouTube channel , Fagbuyi shared how some male actors tried to take advantage of her when she first joined the industry. She explained that many newcomers, especially beautiful young actresses, are often pressured into having sex in exchange for movie roles. “One actor told me I wouldn’t succeed in Nollywood unless I had sex with him ,” Fagbuyi said. “When I refused, he and some of his friends stopped working with me.” She also revealed that a journalist, who was friends with the actor, called her to convince her to sleep with him.
