Popular Yoruba actress and filmmaker Foluke Daramola Salako is mourning the loss of her mother, Reverend (Mrs.) Aderonke Daramola.  The sad news was confirmed by the actress, with family sources stating that she passed away on the evening of Tuesday, March 18, 2025. She was 82 years old. According to reports, the elderly woman had been battling a long illness before her passing. Though details of the burial arrangements are yet to be announced, Foluke Daramola assured friends, colleagues, and well-wishers that information would be shared soon. The loss is particularly painful for the actress, as it comes just weeks after another Nollywood star, Biola Adebayo, also lost her mother.  The Yoruba film industry has recently experienced a wave of personal tragedies, with several actors mourning the deaths of their loved ones. Fans, colleagues, and friends have started sending condolences to Foluke Daramola, offering prayers and support during this difficult time.
